TEREC+, the Ground Enhancing Chemical Compound for Earth Pits

General
Quite often costly and sensitive electrical, electronic and telecom equipment get damaged due to poor grounding system and high earth pit resistance. In the event of a short circuit caused by internal faults, or sudden surge in voltage due to external factors, the resultant extra energy is prevented from damaging the costly equipment by diverting the same quickly into the ground through the earthing system. However, if the earth pit resistance is high, it will act like a and take a long time to discharge the extra energy into the ground. The delay in dissipation of extra energy invariably results in damage to costly and sensitive electrical, electronic and telecom equipment.

TEREC+ is a simple and cost effective answer to this problem. It is an inert, patented chemical in granular form to which equal quantity of water is added and the resultant slurry is simply poured into the earth pit. The result is instant and drastic reduction in earth pit resistance by 80-90%! Moreover, the treated pit is expected to give a maintenance free performance for over 15 years. Duval Messien, the French author of this technology, calls it a "Ã…â€œmiracle compound".

Salient Features

TEREC+ is a blend of seven patented chemical compounds based on silicates and chlorides. Each of the seven components perform in their own unique way

IONIC chemicals: Accelerate ion circulation in the soil.
DISPERSION chemicals: Gradually spread conductive property to surrounding grounds.
EXPANSION chemicals: Expand and swell 20 times squeezing all air gaps between soil and electrode, vastly improving dissipation of peak currents.
DIFFUSION chemicals: Create root like silicate structures which spread out in the soil providing larger surface area for peak current to dissipate quickly.
HYGROSCOPIC chemicals: Absorb moisture from soil and surrounding grounds and retain the same in jelly form. Earth pit needs no further replenishment of water throughout its life.

Two other proprietary compounds contribute to stability, long life and efficiency of the earth pit.

TEREC+ comes in granular form, is odourless and an inert substance. It is environment friendly and does not attack the soil or corrode the metal electrodes. It is a very stable compound and maintains, low resistivity in the soil for 15-20 years.

The quantity of TEREC+ to be used in an earth pit depends upon the soil resistivity. Generally, a dose of 5 kg TEREC+ will be sufficient where the soil resistivity is below 30 Ohm metre. If the soil resistivity is between 30-100 Ohm metre, 10 kg TEREC+ should be used. For rocky terrains where soil resistivity may be above 100 Ohm metre, 20 kg TEREC+ is recommended for each earth pit.
